TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last Updated: October 10, 2026
Welcome to The Ruby Reliquary & Procurement Company LLC, doing business as The Ruby Reliquary. These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website, merchandise purchases, appointments, fittings, and visits to the premises.
By using this website, purchasing merchandise, scheduling or attending an appointment, or entering the premises, you acknowledge the policies applicable to that activity. Certain activities may require separate affirmative acceptance or written agreements.
Please also review our separate Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy, Appointment Guidelines & Policies, and Privacy Policy.
BUSINESS OPERATIONS AND APPOINTMENTS
- The Ruby Reliquary is an independently operated resale boutique offering bridal gowns, formalwear, vintage clothing, accessories, jewelry, home décor, and other distinctive merchandise.
- Private fittings and merchandise pickups are available by confirmed appointment only. Fittings are generally offered on weekends, subject to availability.
- The Ruby Reliquary operates from a private residence and does not accept walk-ins or unannounced visitors.
- All clients and guests must comply with the separate Appointment Guidelines & Policies, including guest restrictions, fitting preparation, premises confidentiality, garment protection, and safety requirements.
GOWN AVAILABILITY AND HOLD POLICY
- All merchandise is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The Ruby Reliquary cannot hold or reserve gowns through online messages, telephone calls, social media requests, appointment requests, or other inquiries.
- Following an in-person fitting, a gown may be held for up to 24 hours at the discretion of The Ruby Reliquary. If payment is not completed within that period, the gown will become available for purchase by another customer.
- Many gowns are one of a kind. Although inventory is updated as quickly as possible, an item may occasionally sell in person before the website reflects the change.
- If simultaneous purchases occur, the first successfully completed payment will receive the item. Any later payment received for an unavailable item will be refunded.
MERCHANDISE CLASSIFICATION, CONDITION, AND INSPECTION
- All gowns and other merchandise offered by The Ruby Reliquary were acquired through the secondary or resale market and are classified and sold as secondhand merchandise.
- This classification applies even when an item is described as unworn, unaltered, a sample, or new with its original retail tags.
- The terms “new with tags,” “unworn,” “unaltered,” or similar descriptions refer to the item's apparent condition and available history to the best of The Ruby Reliquary's knowledge. These descriptions do not mean that the merchandise was obtained directly from its original manufacturer or is being sold as first-sale retail inventory.
- Merchandise may be vintage, discontinued, sample, previously owned, previously stored, or otherwise unique.
- Unless an item's complete history is documented, The Ruby Reliquary cannot guarantee that it has never been tried on, worn, altered, repaired, cleaned, restored, modified, or affected by storage or prior handling.
- The Ruby Reliquary performs a reasonable visual review of each gown when it is received and prepared for sale. However, gowns may contain multiple layers, linings, seams, embellishments, lace, beading, closures, and extensive amounts of fabric.
- The Ruby Reliquary does not perform a professional garment evaluation or inspect every stitch, seam, bead, embellishment, layer, or inch of fabric.
- An item may contain an imperfection, repair, alteration, stain, loose or missing embellishment, fabric weakness, age-related condition, concealed damage, or other characteristic that was not disclosed when the item was acquired or discovered during the reasonable visual review.
- All descriptions, designer attributions, style information, dates, condition assessments, alteration information, measurements, and other item details are provided honestly and in good faith, to the best of The Ruby Reliquary's knowledge and ability, based on available labels, tags, documentation, photographs, seller information, and visual observations.
- Unless expressly stated, such information should not be interpreted as an independent authentication, appraisal, professional condition report, or guarantee of complete garment history.
- Vintage and designer sizing may differ significantly from modern street sizing. A tagged size is not a guarantee of fit, and previous alterations may affect a gown's current measurements and fit.
- Customers purchasing in person are responsible for carefully inspecting the gown, trying it on when desired and permitted, reviewing available measurements and condition disclosures, and asking questions before completing the purchase.
- Customers purchasing online are responsible for carefully reviewing all available photographs, descriptions, measurements, sizing information, and condition disclosures before purchasing.
- Online customers are encouraged to request additional photographs, measurements, or available information before completing a purchase if any detail is important to their purchasing decision.
- Completion of a purchase confirms that the customer has reviewed or had an opportunity to review the available information and accepts the item in its disclosed and observable secondhand condition, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
CLEANING, SANITATION, AND HEALTH NOTICE
- The Ruby Reliquary has not had the gowns professionally cleaned, disinfected, or sanitized unless expressly stated in an individual product listing.
- This approach helps preserve affordable resale pricing while allowing each purchaser to select a garment-care professional appropriate for the particular gown. It also avoids exposing delicate, vintage, or embellished garments to unnecessary cleaning processes that could damage fragile fabrics, lace, beading, sequins, pearls, crystals, embroidery, adhesives, structural components, or other decorative details.
- Because the gowns were acquired through the secondary or resale market, their complete cleaning, storage, handling, and exposure histories may be unknown.
- The Ruby Reliquary does not represent or guarantee that any gown is free from germs, bacteria, viruses, allergens, odors, dust, pet-related materials, cleaning-product residue, environmental residue, or other substances.
- Customers and guests choose to attend appointments, handle merchandise, and try on gowns with knowledge of their secondhand status and unknown prior handling history.
- Each attendee is responsible for making personal decisions regarding participation based on individual health conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or concerns.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, customers and guests assume the ordinary risks associated with handling and trying on secondhand garments, including possible exposure to allergens, residue, germs, or communicable illness.
- After purchase, the customer is responsible for deciding whether a gown should be professionally cleaned, disinfected, sanitized, restored, or otherwise treated before wear or use. Any such service must be arranged and paid for by the customer.
- The Ruby Reliquary does not provide professional cleaning or sanitation services and is not responsible for the pricing, methods, workmanship, representations, chemicals, damage, discoloration, shrinkage, alteration, results, or other actions of an independent cleaner or garment-care provider selected by the customer.
- The Ruby Reliquary does not guarantee that any cleaning, disinfecting, or sanitation process will be suitable for a particular gown or eliminate every germ, allergen, odor, residue, or health risk.
- Nothing in this section excludes or limits any responsibility or legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
PRICING AND PRICE MATCHING
- Prices are based on the item's designer, style, condition, rarity, age, market value, and other relevant considerations. Prices may be changed before purchase without notice.
- The Ruby Reliquary does not price match other retailers, resale platforms, private sellers, previous listings, sale prices, or expired promotions.
PAYMENT POLICY
- All merchandise must be paid in full at the time of purchase. The Ruby Reliquary does not offer payment plans or installment arrangements unless expressly stated in writing for a specific transaction.
- Accepted payment methods may include cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and payment methods available through GoDaddy Commerce. Available payment methods may change.
- Customers are responsible only for charges displayed and disclosed before completing a transaction.
- Any transaction, processing, currency-conversion, or service fee charged directly by an independent payment provider is governed by that provider's terms. The Ruby Reliquary does not control fees independently imposed by third-party payment services.
- Google Pay and other payment methods may be added in the future. Any newly accepted payment method will be subject to the terms and fees disclosed by its provider.
FINAL-SALE POLICY
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
- Except where applicable law requires otherwise, The Ruby Reliquary does not accept returns or exchanges and does not provide refunds for change of mind, buyer's remorse, fit or sizing concerns, color expectations, event cancellation, or failure to review available item information before purchase.
- Customers should review the complete Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy before purchasing.
- Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
- Available shipping methods, charges, and delivery estimates will be displayed during checkout or communicated before purchase.
- All shipments arranged by The Ruby Reliquary will include carrier tracking and shipping insurance appropriate to the shipment.
- Insurance coverage is subject to the carrier's terms, limitations, exclusions, documentation requirements, and claims process.
- Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. The Ruby Reliquary is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, unsuccessful delivery attempt, weather, carrier disruption, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
- Multiple gowns or unusually large items may be shipped in separate packages and may require separate shipping charges.
- If an item arrives damaged, the customer must preserve the item and all packaging and promptly provide clear photographs and any other documentation required for a carrier claim.
- The item and packaging must not be discarded, altered, cleaned, worn, or repaired before claim instructions are provided.
PRIVATE RESIDENCE AND PREMISES SAFETY
- The Ruby Reliquary operates by appointment from a private residence.
- For the safety and privacy of the owner and household, the residential address, private telephone numbers, access instructions, directions, gate or entry information, and other nonpublic location or contact information are confidential.
- Clients and guests must respect the privacy of the household and neighboring residents, follow all safety instructions, and remain within designated appointment areas.
- Detailed guest requirements, neighborhood rules, fitting preparation, confidentiality provisions, premises safety rules, and assumption-of-risk provisions are contained in the separate Appointment Guidelines & Policies.
- Clients and guests may be required to complete a separate Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Limited Covenant Not to Sue before entering the premises or participating in a fitting. Nothing in these policies limits any right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.
DAMAGE TO MERCHANDISE
- Clients and guests must handle all gowns, accessories, furnishings, and other property carefully and follow fitting instructions.
- Do not force, pull, excessively stretch, or attempt to fasten a gown that does not fit comfortably. Please request assistance before operating delicate closures.
- To the extent permitted by law, a client may be responsible for damage caused by the client or the client's guests through misuse, carelessness, failure to follow instructions, forcing an item, staining, or other avoidable conduct.
- Responsibility may include reasonable professional cleaning or repair costs. If an item cannot reasonably be restored to its prior condition, responsibility may include the value of the damaged item.
PERSONAL PROPERTY AND VEHICLES
- Clients and guests are responsible for safeguarding their purses, wallets, jewelry, phones, clothing, vehicles, and other personal property.
- Vehicles parked at or near the premises are parked at the owner's risk. Please lock vehicles, remove visible valuables, and follow parking instructions.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Ruby Reliquary, its owner, and members of the household are not responsible for personal property or vehicles that are lost, misplaced, stolen, damaged, broken into, or vandalized while a client or guest is traveling to, attending, or departing an appointment.
- Nothing in this provision excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING
- Photography of merchandise may be permitted with approval.
- Photographing or recording private areas, personal information, access information, household members, or the residential address is prohibited.
- Video recording, livestreaming, commercial photography, and social-media content creation during an appointment require advance permission.
VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS
- Recommendations for independent seamstresses, cleaners, photographers, wedding professionals, or other vendors may be available upon request as a courtesy.
- Recommended vendors are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of The Ruby Reliquary. Customers are responsible for evaluating and selecting any vendor.
- The Ruby Reliquary is not responsible for an independent vendor's availability, pricing, representations, workmanship, services, delays, omissions, conduct, damages, or results.
- A recommendation does not constitute a warranty or guarantee.
RIGHT TO REFUSE OR END SERVICE
- To the extent permitted by law, The Ruby Reliquary reserves the right to deny entry, refuse service, cancel an appointment, or end a fitting because of policy violations, unsafe conduct, harassment, threats, suspected unlawful activity, intoxication, hygiene or product-transfer concerns, mistreatment of merchandise, disruption of the household or neighborhood, or conduct that creates an unreasonable safety, privacy, or property risk.
- Nothing in this provision permits unlawful discrimination.
REQUIRED ACCEPTANCE
- Reviewing a policy page alone does not complete the appointment agreement.
- Before an appointment may be finalized, the person scheduling may be required to affirmatively accept the applicable Terms and Conditions, Appointment Guidelines & Policies, premises safety rules, assumption-of-risk provisions, and any required liability release.
- The customer may be required to provide a full legal name, electronic signature, date, and other information needed to document acceptance.
- Each adult guest may also be required to complete a separate acknowledgment and liability release before entering the premises. A parent or legal guardian must complete any required documentation for a minor.
- Refusal to complete any required acknowledgment or release may result in cancellation or denial of entry.
PRIVACY AND CUSTOMER INFORMATION
- Information collected through our website, customer communications, transactions, and appointment scheduling is addressed in our separate Privacy Policy.
- Customers are encouraged to review that policy for information about the collection, use, sharing, and protection of personal information.
POLICY UPDATES
- These policies may be updated periodically. The version presented and accepted when an appointment is scheduled or a purchase is completed will govern that transaction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any consumer right, remedy, or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
